Irish Community Care is a
voluntary organisation which was founded in 1986 by members of the Manchester
Irish Community. Their organisational
aims are: to relieve the effects of poverty, sickness, distress and old age; to
enhance quality of life through leisure and recreation; and to provide for the
burial of people with no next of kin.
Work takes place across the city of Manchester and surrounding
districts as projects respond to a changing social, political and economic
climate.
