South London Irish Welfare Society (SLIWS) provides a culturally sensitive Advice and Outreach Befriending Service to Irish elders and their dependents, living in the London Borough's of Lambeth, Wandsworth, Merton, Sutton, Croydon, Kingston-upon-Thames and Richmond. It also supports the Irish communities in the Counties of Surrey, Kent, East Sussex and West Sussex. SLIWS offers front line advice and information support on Welfare Benefits, Irish and British Pensions, Re-returning to Ireland, free legal, domestic violence, housing, health and debt management and travellers issues. It also operates Lunch Clubs, Local Advice Surgeries and a Home Care service to the isolated and vulnerable.
