Comhaltas is a vibrant Irish cultural organisation with branches throughout Britain. It promotes traditional Irish music, song, dance, language and culture. It encourages adults and children to take part. Founded in 1951, Comhaltas has over 400 branches all over the world. It organises, promotes and presents traditional Irish musicians, singers and dancers. Education is a priority and, through classes, courses, workshops and events, people are given the opportunity to develop their artistic abilities.
