Baring Foundation
The Baring Foundation was set up in 1969 to give money to charities and voluntary organisations pursuing charitable purposes. In 38 years we have given over £93.4 million in grants. Our budget for grant-making in 2007 is £1.6 million (less than in 2006 as the Trustees decided to use £900,000 of the 2007 budget for grants in 2006).
We have specific grants programmes concerned with strengthening the voluntary sector, the arts and international development. The Arts Programme for 2008 is now open.
We are also working on special initiatives which include: creating a better deal for parents with learning difficulties, interculturality and climate change.
