Youth Music is a Lottery funded project that targets 0 = 18 year olds and has several separate funding streams as follows:

Open programmes - for general applications that do not fall into other streams.

Partnership Programmes - to promote working partnerships between organisations/agencies working with young people.

Action Zones - Solicited consortium bids only

Youth music initiatives - Initiatives and events that complement the above

The fund supports music project outside the school environment and covers all music cultures and styles from traditional to pop & rock. The emphasis tends to be towards participation, personal and professional development,

Progressive and development projects are encouraged but regular established activities such as those of Comhaltas are not likely to be supported. Youth Music will fund equipment that is required for a new project. Camelot Foundation


The Camelot Foundation is an independent grant making trust funded by the Camelot Group, the private company that operates the National Lottery. The Camelot Foundation aims to fund the most innovative and dynamic projects working with young people aged 11-25.
