Why enter?
The Rose of Tralee International Festival celebrates the connection between Irish people living on this Island and the seventy million people from around the world who are equally proud of their Irish heritage.
The young women who participate represent over seventy-five Irish communities and as such, they are very special ambassadors from our extended family. They are typically intelligent, independent, confident young women who are proud to reflect the positive attitudes and hopes of their generation as Roses of Tralee have for almost fifty years past.
The Rose of Tralee International Festival has always been a progressive organisation and our decision to welcome single mothers to participate reflects our ongoing commitment to balancing what is best in tradition and progress.
Entrants must be aged between 18 and 27 and never have been married. They should be confident young women with a good personality. It is imperative that they have Irish Heritage in order to enter.
