Congress 2008, our Annual Event, will this year be held in Liverpool on the 20th & 21st June. We have 2 affiliated groups in Liverpool at present, St Michael's Irish Centre and Irish Community Care, Merseyside who are both looking forward to welcoming delegates for the weekend.
FRIDAY 20th JUNE
The weekend will begin at 5pm in Jury's Inn Hotel Liverpool, with a Business & Community welcome from Phil Redmond, Deputy Chair of the Liverpool Culture Company for the Year of Culture.
The 'Affiliates Evening' will be held in the St Michael's Irish Centre and is a chance for affiliates to get together and network. Staff and Trustees of St. Michael's Irish centre have worked hard to put together a relaxed programme of entertainment, a hot food buffet will be provided and the bar will be open for business.
SATURDAY 21st JUNE
On Saturday 21st June 2008 the AGM will take place in the Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool, Monarchs Quay, Liverpool, L3 4FP. It will begin, as in previous years, at 9am for registration in order to get through the business of the day in good time.
The Gala Dinner & Dance will be held in the Arena and Convention Centre beginning with a Champagne Reception, and there will be a band for those who wish to dance the night away after dinner.
SUNDAY 22nd JUNE
St Michael's Irish Centre would like to invite delegates to the join them on the Heritage Trail on Sunday morning followed by lunch at the Centre. There is a £5 charge and places will be limited so please book your place no later than 9th June 2008.
