The students on the training programme are university graduates who have 10 years working experience in a diversity of careers and an average age of 37.
The programme is now
placing trainee teachers in schools across England and would like to hear from any school interested in the opportunity of taking one of the trainee teachers for teaching practice in Maths, Physics or Chemistry.
Hibernia College and
Canterbury Christ Church University are keen to develop new models of
partnership with schools to develop the iTeach programme and to ensure that it
can make a significant contribution to meeting school needs in these crucial
subject areas.
While offers of individual placements will be welcomed iTeach is also interested in exploring opportunities for multiple placements and to work with clusters of schools.
Details of the programme can be obtained from the National Director for the iTeach programme, Michelle Cavendish, who is based in London michelle.cavendish@iteach.ac.uk, or you can contact the Business Development Manager, Julie Swan, in Dublin jswan@hiberniacollege.net.
