Summer School at the Irish World Heritage Centre Manchester

Immerse yourself in Irish Culture for two days with the Irish Diaspora Foundation.

On Friday the 14th and Saturday the 15th of August the Irish Diaspora Foundation will bring to you a flavour of Irish history through a series of talks, tours and Irish entertainment.

Have you ever wanted to pick up 'cúpla focal' so that you could converse simply in Irish?

The Irish Diaspora Foundation can offer places on this short summer school which will give you the opportunity to do just that, and also to learn about Irish subjects as varied as:

  • Renowned Irish Sculptor John Cassidy
  • The Manchester Martyrs
  • An introduction to Irish language
  • Trips & tours around Manchester

The summer school will take place primarily at the *Irish World Heritage Centre, Manchester with various trips and tours around Manchester. Lunch and refreshments will be served each day, with an evening meal on Saturday the 15th August, followed by an evening of Irish entertainment.

The price of the summer school will be subsidised by the Irish Diaspora Foundation and so will cost only £25 per person which includes all refreshments, meals and travel.
