Bad News

The end offree passports for the over-65s is among a range of massive cutbacks aimed atsolvingIreland's Government spending crisis. This means that if your current passport is getting towards its expiry date youneed to act quickly and get itrenewed, otherwise it may cost you up to £70. The Embassy confirms that you can renew your passport any time in advance but that you will not be credited with the remaining validity on your existing passport. Similarly, if you don't have a passport and are planning to get one now is the time to do something about it. Passport Application Forms are available at the Irish Centre or from Annette Irwin on01908611499.

Good News
